I love a dinner that comes together in a matter of minutes.  My family loves anything with garlic…beef…or noodles, so y’all could say this is a win-win for me.


With my summer school classes starting, I will be bringing you some quick and easy meals to make for your family. Not that I don’t bring you quick and easy most of the time but with my starting back to school and the normal busy life that tends to consume me.  I love making easy meals that don’t require a lot of effort that are absolutely delicious!

Now I know you hear Asian style and you start to panic. Thoughts of where do I find that ingredient? Do I need special equipment?  With this recipe, you have no need to worry.  All the ingredients can be found at your local grocery store or Walmart. I cook the entire meal using my microwave and a large skillet. I’m telling y’all, it’s pure awesomeness!

These garlic beef and broccoli noodle bowls come together in about 15 minutes, which makes those weeknight dinners a snap to put together.

Garlic Beef and Broccoli Noodle Bowls

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Olive OIl
  • 1 pound stir fry strips or skirt steak cut into thin strips
  • 1 package (10.8 oz) steamable broccoli cuts
  • 2 Tablespoons Garlic Minced
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 4 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 packages (7.1 oz) Udon Stir-Fry Noodles
  • 2 Tablespoons Green Onions Sliced
  • 2 teaspoons Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  1. Open outer package of udon noodles and pierce each inner package about 4 times; microwave for 90 seconds (or prepare according to package directions); set
    aside.

  2. Cook/steam the broccoli according to package directions.

  3. In a small bowl whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, and sesame oil; mix until
    well combined, set aside.

  4. Heat oil over high heat in a large skillet; add beef strips; cook for 2-3 minutes, until beef is browned.

  5. Add garlic and ginger to the pan, cook for 1 minute.

  6. Add soy sauce mixture to the pan and bring to a simmer; cook for 3-5 minutes until sauce slightly thickens.

  7. Add cooked noodles and broccoli to the pan, stir to coat.

  8. Sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds over the pan.

  9. Serve.
