What do you season your burger with?

Whenever I make burgers, I use this Homemade Burger Seasoning blend.  It adds a punch of flavor that you just won’t get from plain salt and pepper and is has always been my go-to crowd-pleaser.

For a basic burger patty recipe, I add 2 Tbsp of this Homemade Burger Seasoning to 1.5 pounds of ground beef.  I mix it in and form my patties in my burger press.

My sister has also used this Burger Seasoning on frozen patties. She simply sprinkles an even coating on both sides of the frozen patties and then grills or fries like normal.

Burger Seasoning Is A Camping Must-Have!

Ok y’all this upcoming weekend we are going camping.  For me, that means a lot of preparation!  I want to be able to relax and enjoy the outdoors not stuck by the camp fire or a propane stove trying to cook meals.  So, this today’s post is going to be focused on quick, easy and sometimes make ahead recipes that will make my weekend in the woods a ton more enjoyable!

Servings 1 cup

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp paprika
  • 6 Tbsp Mama’d House Seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp cumin
  • 1 Tbsp dried basil
  • 1 Tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp dry mustard

Instructions

  1. Combine everything in a bowl and mix well.

  2. Store in an air tight container.

  3. Add two tablespoons to every 1 1/2 pounds of buger meat.
